My Life
Home
This page is for all of the men and women who are or ever was POW, and for the families of those loved ones that are MIA-KIA.
Those people that fought and gave their lives for all of us that has ever lived in America, whether it be in the past, the present or in the far future should be recognized for the job that they stood up to do. These men and women fought for very special reasons. Maybe it was for their children, or their future children. Maybe it was because they were tired of seeing a communistic society trying to take over a free society, or maybe it was just that they were picked to go. What ever the reasons, this is one enlisted person that salutes these POW-MIA-KIA's and all other who awnser the call from thier country with a tear in my eye.
I joined the service so that maybe I could pay my respects to the fallen soldiers that fought for me so many years ago. I was only one year old when the Vietnam war ended, but I still felt the blow from it by losing some family members, or having family hurt, and not always by physical means.
There are some things that really irritate me about the American people when it comes to our vet's and the POW-MIA-KIA's. One thing is when our vet's did come home they were made to feel like they weren't wanted back. They came home and were called baby killers and were made out to be the reason the U.S. was in a war. A lot of those soldiers were just swept under the carpet and forgotten about, forced to live on the street. There were even some of those vet's that came home and found everything they owned was now gone. It wasn't their fault America was at war, it was the communistic idea's that they were fighting.
The second thing that really makes me angry is why is America paying all of the attention on other countries people when we have so many American's that need homes and food. A lot of those people don't live that way by choice, but rather because it's the only thing that they can afford. Why are the politician's so concerned about what all of those other countries think of them, when they should really worry about what American's think about them. After all we put them into office and our taxes pay their salary. All of the homeless and starving American's don't deserve to be treated this way. They don't deserve to be swept under the carpet like last week's garbage.     So do your country proud, If you ever have the chance to help out a homeless American or an American that is not doing so good, please do so. I just wish that I could do more, but I am doing what I can by keeping the memory alive of what America was originally built on, and that was freedom and looking after their own. May God bless the families of those many men and women that never made it back and all of the men and women that serve today.
