What is a Mudbug?
A mudbug, or crawfish, goes by many names: crayfish, crawdads, or even yabbies. Crawfish are like mini lobsters, their strong tail meat is known as a delicious meal to many Louisianans. 98% of the crawfish harvested for food in the United States comes from Louisiana.

Is there an admission price? How much and where do I buy a ticket?
Yes, admission is $3 after 6pm on Thursday and Friday (11am to 6pm is free), $3 after 11am on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is also free to all children under 12 years of age. Admission is paid at the entrance to Festival Plaza where Mudbug Madness is held.

Other than music and mudbugs, what else is at the festival?
The festival has all kinds of food, not just mudbugs, you can get anything from your regualar old hot dog to a deep-fried candy bar. Vendors come from all over to set up booths all over the festival filled with different kinds of souveneirs, collectibles, art, and other merchandise.
