| Information About Our Training We do Inboard training (which is when your dog or puppy stays with us for a period of time, usually ranging from 3 to 4 weeks), and One-On-One training (which is when we set up an appointment that lasts about 30 minutes and the trainer works with you and your dog/puppy). Inboard Training While your dog is staying with us, we work with on-lead basic obedience, which consists of teaching the dog to sit, stay, heel, and various other things such as having the dog in a down stay and teaching the dog to not bolt through doors. We work with your dog multiple times a day for about ten to fifteen-minute periods. When you come back to pick up your dog from his/her stay with us, we take about a half of an hour to forty-five minutes and watch a tape which shows his/her progress during their stay with us. During that time, we also go over how to handle your dog correctly, and answer any questions you may have. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions or concerns after your training has been completed. We can assist you over the phone, or you can set up an appointment with one of our trainers free of charge. One-On-One Training Classes Our One-On-One Basic Obedience Classes involve You, your dog and a trainer working together for about a 45 minute session once a week. It also consists of teaching your dog to heel, sit, stay, down stay and the "come" comand. Any other problems your dog may be having can be discussed with your trainer during your weekly sessions. Also, keep in mind that training takes commitment. Whether you choose Inboard or One-On-One training, you will need to invest the appropriate amount of time so your pet can excel in our trainint program. If you have any other questions, please feel free to give us a call! |
