Middle Window - East Side
Ellis & Nina Schnare had this window presented to and installed in St. Barnabas Church. The theme of our church in the year this window was given (1984) was "Reaching Out in the Spirit". It was hoped that they and their four children would admire and enjoy together for many years the message it sends. The flowers represent thankfulness for their children:
Lily of the Valley (white) for two daughters born in May. Daffodil (yellow) for a daughter born in March. Morning Glory (blue) for a son born in September. The red rose represents St. Bamabas where all received baptism and the parents were married.
The colours used at the top of the window are those of the Church Year:
Blue - the colour of Hope (Advent)
White - the colour of Gladness (Easter, Christmas)
Green - the spirit of growth (Epiphany)
Violet - the season of repentance (Lent)
Red - for the blood of sacrifice (Holy Week)
The three links represent a fraternal and charitable organization promoting friendship, love and truth.
