1998: ABAC Dummy Company, Sales Supervisor
ABAC Dummy Company
is the company created by a group of students in order to practice selling
and marketing skills in the real business situation. The company sells
various kinds of products by applying various methods such as knock-door
direct sales, setting up a booth in the public place and phone-call
direct sales.
Every department is controlled by a group of senior students who can
give advice to any sales representatives who are their juniors.
I had a chance to join the company as a sales supervisor. The scopes
of responsibilities are as follows:
- Try to sell the products to achieve sales target and to maximize the
commission of the team members by selling high-margin products.
- Motivate the team members to be enthusiastic all the time because
every team has to compete with each other.
- Report sales performance to the sales & marketing department
- Give reason and solution of any problem occurred.
This activity enhanced my selling, marketing and service skills, which
are necessary in the real business. I am not afraid of any competition,
because the competition is the unavoidable stage that I have to join
in order to have a chance to go to higher step of my success.

2001 - 2004: Siam Makro Public Company Limited, Assistant Merchandise
Manager

Makro Public Company Limited is the company operating modern-trade
business in the from of discount store. It has many branches over the
country. The simple process of company activities are buying and selling
the products. Moreover, service becomes more important in order to create
differentiation among the rival companies.
After graduating Bachelor's Degree, I had a chance to join this company
as an assistant merchandise manager. The scopes of responsibilities
are as follows:
- In charge of Office Automation and Furniture department, and move
to Electrical Appliances department.
- Coordinating with all merchandise managers in Non-Food department
to prepare Sales, Profit, and Margin of each Makro Mail promotion.
- Forecasting sales and profit for specified period and trying to achieve
them
- Sourcing the products from both local and overseas supplier with the
commitment that all selected products must be sold out.
- Controlling the stock, delivery, buying price and selling price of
supervised products for all Makro branches.
- Setting up the activities for promotional product items in order to
boost up sales for suppliers and stores
- Monitoring life cycle of each product and implement different strategies
for different stages of its cycle.
- Negotiating with suppliers to get the best buying price and maximize
company's profit and other income.
- Acting as an intermediary between suppliers and Makro branches, and
solving problems occurring between them.
- Continually observing the products carried by competitors and their
price, and take response in order to be in competitive position
Working with Makro broadens my business vision. I can fully utilize
marketing skill here. I can forecast the market trend of the product.
I have to be active all the time because the competitors are not in
the status quo. I have to use both aggressive and compromising strategy
in order to achieve my and organizational goals. Someone think that
working as a buyer will make the people aggressive, hot-temper and individualist
or even selfish, but I believe that it is a good chance for me to experience
the severe competition in the matured market because it is very hard
for anybody to find the solution to stay competitive and survive in
the market which is already saturated, like modern-trade business. Thus,
I am very proud of that because I can pass it with the good performance
