With a company history that is more than 200 years old Girard Perregaux is most famouse for its tourbillon watches with 3 gold bridges (dating back to 1889) which the latest incarnation (Opera 1) is in my oppinion THE best wach movement in the world.
Making all of its own movements G.P is one of the last fully independant fine watchmakers.
More recently G.P has become better known for its affiliation with the car maker Ferrari and its fine split-second chronograph movements.
Better known in Switzerland and Italy G.P still remains one of the best kept secrets. |
