The qualifications for becoming a member of Par Excellence include being a Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management major for more than a semester and the ability to dedicate three semesters to Par Excellence, one of which is a training semester, as well as having attained a GPA that equals or exceeds 3.0 for undergraduate students or 3.25 for graduate students. All members of Par Excellence spend their first semester as trainees and attend mandatory training sessions once a week for the entire semester. At the culmination of their training, they are awarded their hard-earned tails (a tuxedo jacket) and become full- time members. As full- time members they receive a five hundred dollar scholarship and are expected to work fifty hours during the semester wherein they will provide service for private parties in the greater Houston community. Each function presents a totally unique situation which enables our members to demonstrate their skills and professionalism. Our experience and attitude towards service enable you to enjoy YOUR party.
