Bright Iconic is our chestnut hanoverian mare we bought from Avalon Stables, June 2008. She is a very quiet horse and is pretty bombproof. Being four, she is inexperienced and there is no doubt about that but she is willing to try her hoof at anything and everything. We have already schooled her round a showjumping course, cross country course and over hunter jumps - she seems to take everything in her stride. However, Connie, like all horses, does have her faults. She struggles to get correct canters leads and rushes in trot, especially downhill, because she is slightly on her forehand. Consequently, we are currently giving her extra schooling sessions on the lunge, to try and correct these faults. At the moment, Connie seems to be responding well and with her positive attitude and the want to suceed, we hope Connie will turn out to be a good show horse in the future.
