Paramott Bunnjaweht
CV

As I’m applying for enrollment in physics courses, I’m well aware of myself that I like to study physics and am interested in phenomena involved in physics, particularly cosmology and quantum physics which are being studied intensively in these days.

The physics courses I’m applying for will not only let me comprehend nature in a better view but will provide me with skills essential to participate in discovering the hidden aspects of science.

Physics has earned a special place in my heart, since I was a child, I love reading books, among favorites are astronomy cartoon books which introduced me to the world of science, from there is where my love of physics is stemmed from.

Now, I am introducing myself to modern physics such as relativity and quantum theory because they explain something that makes no sense at all and is still a real thing. Because I’m interested in Physics, I have prepared myself to learn more from it, including 6 years of science education in science and mathematics program of Hatyaiwittayalai school.

Aside from studying at the school, I participated in physics and astronomy Olympiad camps held by The Promotion of Academic Olympiad and Development of Science Education Foundation under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhivas Rajanagarindra (POSN) in summer. Also, I became a tutor in physics and astronomy for my friends and students who were interested in order to share their beauty to them.

Throughout my education life, I had achieved certificates and medals in competition related to science and mathematics fields including

  • The One in ten finalist of The 6th Thailand Physics competition held by Romchatra Foundation
  • Bronze medalist of The Seventeenth Thailand Physics Olympiad (17th TPhO, June 2018)
  • Silver medalist of The Fourteenth Thailand Astronomy Olympiad (14th TAO, April 2017)
  • Silver Medalist of The Sixth Thailand Mathematics Contest (6th TMC, Overall Thailand Mathematics competition, March 2018)
  • Bronze medalist of The Asia International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) 2013 At National Taiwan University (NTU), July 2013
  • Silver medalist of The First Thailand Geography Olympiad (1st TGeo, April 2018)
  • The winner of The Science Problem Solving Process competition (Southern Thailand region Physics competition held by faculty of science, Prince of Songkhla university, August 2018)

For me, physics is always regarded as a simple yet beautiful key to understand what’s going on around us by using a few equations. With some of the answers to the ultimate questions remain unknown, I will be very excited to be able to join the community of physicists in searching for such answers.

While future itself is uncertain; I may choose to work with astrophysicists for better cosmology understanding or join the scientists at CERN or other institutes specialized in quantum physics, or may be even work to combine these two fields together into the long sought “Theory of Everything”, my devotion for physics and insatiable thirst for knowledge will definitely find a way to improve our view of the reality and help exploring the final frontier of science itself, with hope that such discoveries will be applied to make everybody’s life better.
