2002: Facilitated initiation of a joint capacity building program between Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy and International Food Policy Research Institute. This activity is currently operational and provides training for young academics from national agricultural research system and universities in Sri Lanka.

1999: Conceptualizing, designing and management of URL “Sri Lanka Agecon Resources “ (Internet Address: (http://www.slageconr.net) , a comprehensive URL for agricultural economists interested on Sri Lanka. This site made “ Sri Lankan Journal of Agricultural Economics” the first academic journal in Sri Lanka to offer full-text access. The site now hosts: “ Sri Lanka Studies Network Homepage”.

2000: Coordinated (as Secretary to the SLAAS/GRC) preparation of establishing rules and regulations for annual awards competitions “SLAAS-GRC Award “ (for senior scientists), and “SLAAS-Postgraduate Publications Award “

1999: Initiated (as Secretary/SLAAS Social Sciences Section), a training facility for young social scientists with the National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka.
