About The Israeli united Paragliding group
Our first goal is trying to organize a group people that are interested
in learning the basics of Paragliding (Para 1 rank).
After we establish a group of 10 or more members, we will set a date to start the course together.
There are two schools in Israel, "Agur" and "Skys". We may choose whoever gives us the best deal.
After we accomplish the first rank, we can go on to achieve the next two ranks.
Our vision is beyond just getting a great discount of the courses. After completing
the course, some problems will cross your path:
- You will need to buy very expensive equipment (A parachute, reserve, harness, helmet, etc.)
- You might need transportation to where the flying is, up north!
Even if you have a car it is costly to drive all that way every time you want to spread your wings.
- At first, you will probably not know other pilots very well, and
will need people to motivate you and exchange experiences with.
If we get it right, and put a good group together, we can help each other!
- Rent or buy equipment together at first, and use it togther when flying to
cut the intial costs dramtically.
- Drive together to the flying site, save ourselves some troubles, and the cost of fuel.
- Have a good group of people, with whom you did the course. We can motivate,
and learn from each other. Further more, we could exchange know-how and adventures.
Who are we?
The group was first thought of by Noam Levy. He was interested in learning to paraglide,
yet the cost where too high. He could not afforde taking the course (1000$), buying a parachute
(2000-3500$), a harness (400$) and all the other stuff needed.
The only option to signifcantly lower the cost were to do it as a group.
With that idea in mind, He set off to try and organize the group. He choose
the Internet as the best way to contact people interested.
