Welcome to Computer Sims International for the Sims 1 or CSI for the Sims 1 as we call it around here. I have been playing this game since it came out in 2000 and have all the expansion packs. My favorite expansion pack was Unleashed that added the ability to have pets such as dogs and cats in the game and for your sims to be able to grow their own food and more options for them to work at home. ![]() The Sims: Original - Winter of 2000 This is the original game and not part of the expansion packs but is required to run any of the additional expansion packs below. The only way to run the expansion packs without this original Sims cd is to own a deluxe edition which includes the original game plus an expansion pack or expansion packs. ![]() Living Large Expansion Pack - Spring 2001 This expansion pack added the ability to add additional neighborhoods so you could expand your sim community. On the job front you get five additional careers to choose from that adds onto the original careers found in the original game. This expansion pack also added a retro, castle, and high tech theme objects, and game files to the game and includes 125 new files. This expansion pack also added new interactions, new NPCs such as the Grim Reaper, Clown, and Genie. Another added element was adding roaches to the game play. ![]() House Party Expansion Pack - Summer 2001 This expansion pack provided an outlet for your sims to host a at home party and provided objects themes for the party such as country, tropical, and rave. In this expansion pack offered new interactions and new NPC's plus additional objects and game files. This expansion pack also added more ways to socialize to make new friends to assist in job promotions and a few surprise drop in guest . Will your party be a success and a celebrity will show up? Or will it be a bomb and the mime will arrive? The choice is up to you in the expansion pack. ![]() Hot Date Expansion Pack - Fall 2001 This was the first expansion pack that let your adult sims get out of the house and into a downtown community. Downtown you could date, eat, shop, meet new people all for a fifty dollar cab ride. You could build your own downtown, modify the one that came with the game, or use just use the one that came with the game. This expansion pack provided new interactions, objects, and NPC's. Go to the park and have a bbq, go to a restaurant and have a meal, go to the bar and have a drink, check out the shops and buy flowers, magazines, candy, clothes and more. ![]() Vacation Expansion Pack - Spring 2002 This expansion continues to get your Sims out of the house and this one sends them away on a vacation. The whole entire family goes children and adults. Go to the beach, go on a camping trip, or go to a winter lodge the choice is up to you. This expansion pack added games that your sims played to get tokens to purchase souvenirs as keepsakes to their vacation and store at home on a nice souvenir shelf. Build sand castles, hunt for your own buried treasure or artifacts, but watch out for the old boots. Go shopping and buy clothes for the beach and lodge, buy post cards and sent them to your friends. This expansion pack added new interactions, objects, game files, npc's and provided an area for you to build your own vacation, modify the one that comes with this expansion pack, or just use what is included as it was original designed. For only five hundred dollars your sims can get away from school and work and a chance to have a great time, meet new people, and just have fun. ![]() Unleashed Expansion Pack - Fall 2002 The expansion pack that pet owners could not wait to get their hands on Unleashed is all about adding furry members or not so furry members to your household. Is you single Sim lonely? How about a cute little dog or cat to cheer the sim up. In Unleashed not only do you get pets but you get another community for your sims to visit and this time the trip is for free. Train you dog or cat, enter them in a show, have your cat hunt mice, or the dog bring in the newspaper. This expansion pack also increased the size of your residential lots so you could have more sims in your neighborhoods. In the community area you can eat at a cafe, shop, visit the market, take on some recreation, buy a new animal. On the home front plants a garden or make your on preserves to sell or give as gifts giving your sims another way of earning money without taking on a career job. The objects included in this expansion pack offered a pet section, home cannery, garden plots, plus new windows, and objects for the community lots. There was also the adding of a few new careers, new NPC's, and game files. Unleashed was the first expansion pack to come on a total of two cd's. ![]() Superstar Expansion Pack - Spring 2003 This expansion pack came on two cd's and offered a new area called studio town. Studio town non-stars could pay fifty dollars and visit, and stars could get a free ride into work. In this expansion pack you can choose to make your sim into a star. This is also the first expansion pack that let you go to work with your sim. Experience the lifestyle of the rich and famous including the annoying obsessive fan. Star out with no stars and work your way to the top to five stars, in the fashion, movie, or music career or mix them with the potential of winning awards from different industries. New games objects, social interactions, NPC's, and game files add to making this expansion pack one of the larger ones with new content. In studio town design it yourself, modify it, or just leave it be, send your sims to the spa, buy clothes, work, eat, and shop or even take in some entertainment and of course meet new people. Only adults could go to studio town and only adults could be stars. An expensive butler for five hundred dollars a day could be hired to take care of your sims family. ![]() Making Magic Expansion Pack - Fall 2003 This was the last and final cd for the game and shipped with three cd's with two being related to the game and one being a sneak preview for The Sims 2. This expansion pack added magic town and allowed your sims to learn magic. In magic town your magic sim could perform to earn coins to buy spell ingredients or even buy a house in the magic town community. The magic town community only offered three houses as the rest was taken up with the community to where you could shop, take in a show, perform in a show, do a challenge, or even take in some entertainment. There were also more opportunities for your sims to work at home such as spin thread, churning butter, and making wine. Your sims also had the chance to bake things such as bread, pies, and cakes. You children could also learn magic and go to magic town. Adding of a few new careers, new social interactions, NPC's objects, and game files made this on of the biggest expansion packs offered. ![]() The Sims Deluxe Edition - 2002 This is not a new expansion pack, it is essentially the Original Sims Game and Living Large Expansion Pack together with bonus wallpaper, skins, objects, floors, and roofs.
