Now the Probe! It is a 1994 GT originally red in color. I purchased the car wrectked but not "R" titled. My brother-in-law and I did the whole repair ourselves. My father-in-law did the spraying. It took about one month to do the entire job but it has not ended there. A phone call to Impact Parts and the Xenon kit was on. A JSP Terminator II spoiler rounded out the kit. Other modifications include custom clear lenses, 5% tint in the rear, 20% on the front, custom Ford emblems, K&N filter intake system, dual Ractive single 4" outlet mufflers, Unorthodox pulley, street glow shift knob, Audiobahn and Clarion electronics to pump out the tunes, Weapon R Circuit Pro coilovers, and a set of 17" Montegi MR7S in white wrapped with 235/40/17 tires. It has an onboard computer that tells you on its display everything that you would want to know about the car as well as the temperature outside. PA [email protected] 1995 Wild Orchid Ford Probe SE I am 17 years old, and am a Senior at Seneca Valley High School. I actually got my probe in Kansas City, MO about a year and a half ago. It has had a lot of problems lately, mainly transmission problems (automatic), which i hear is pretty common with probes, but i still love it! It has been in and out of the shop since about February and has went back about 6 times, but that is just because they screwed up the first time. Other than the transmission, the car runs great. While in the shop in August, my car was broken into and my cd player was stolen, which was a Clarion. I just got it back about 2 weeks ago from all of that. So far i haven't got the money to do anything to enhance its performance or looks, but it doesn't need much. Justin Phillips Imperial, PA [email protected] 1992 Grey Ford Probe GL Well...I saw this nice 91 grand prix at this crappy dealer...i test drove it and you could tell the transmission was shot...so when we pull back into the lot...i see this bright red probe...i took that out then and really liked it...ended up buying it for 3000.....since i brought my probe home in June of 2000...i have put 2,000 miles in 3 monthes....no problems what so ever....i bought some cheap hubcaps changed them..painted the hubs red...cleaned the interior....then decided to change the color...the red was fading bad....so i thought i would turn it into my dream car...the DeLorean...i know its not even gonna be close...so i painted my baby a Metallic Gray...threw on a pair of cheap louvers and the 2000 DeLorean was born...i put in new speakers and head unit in it so now i be jumpin all the time... '99 after I wrecked my Honda Civic Si Hatchback. I was such a Honda-head that I delayed getting a car until I could find that 'perfect' Honda coupe. Well that was before I saw my Probe sitting at a used car dealer in WV. At first the Ford label scared me off, but then I did some research and soon found out that there was really a Mazda powerplant in there. Sweet. The next day, the Probe was mine! It's been a year and I don't miss my Honda at all (well...maybe just a little). Right now, the only mods I have are a Kenwood ExCelon head unit/w 6-disc changer, JL audio coaxials in the front (that don't quite let my manual windows go all the way down) and 4 brand new Cooper Cobra GTs (185/70R14) and some Koning aluminum/carbon fiber racing pedals. I always use Vavoline 10W30 Durablend and I'm looking to get a new Pacesetter cat-back exhaust, Kicker Competition sub/rear coaxials, and new wheels....eventually. I bought my probe for $500 (a deal) with 67000 (now 75000) miles on it. I spend $800 to buy tires, fix the paint, and fix the valve knock. One month later I was in North Park when I got rear-ended. I received $4000 for the car. I bought it back with an R-title for $600 and fixed it for $800. I am almost always online checking to see what is going on at Probetalk.com or making some new web pages. Now some things about my car. Okay, so my Ford Probe is a 4 cylinder automatic. Performance isn't one thing my car will ever be good at, but hey my car has good looks. Chameleon Blue is one many fancy paint jobs that Ford did to the Probe. It looks purple, but the sunlight makes it blue. So far I have made many modifications to my Probe including: vinyl shifter boot, "Probe SE" windshield banner, Diamond Blue driving lights, Aluminum performance pedals, CGL Performance intake, carbon fiber shift knob, shift boot, transmission cooler, and the sleepy-eyed head light mod.
