While on the Panzerdragoon.de message board, a topic about fan fiction came up. I had been thinking about writing one for a while, but to be honest, was scared it'd be met with criticism (by that I mean I thought the idea would be met with critisism, not my work - your allowed to criticise that all you want). I waited for the first fanfics were created, and waited for the response. It was positive. Even then though, I didn't really know where to start, or what to write about.

Thinking about the name of Solo's site, The Will of the Ancients, it made me wonder about how the Empire was formed. I then accessed the timeline on his site, and realised that it was extremely lacking in content. The Panzer world needed something to make the timeline realistic, perhaps a story or two, here and there? My immediate aim was to start from the beginning: the foundation of the Empire.

And so the concept was now accompanied with a purpose, but it still needed to become a reality. This probably wouldn't have happened unless Arc'engal hadn't of created his awesome fanfic, Scourage of the Terrablossom (read it at Solo's site). Scourage gave me the enthusiasm to actually write something, and I started writing straight off the top of my head. What I wrote had no name though, and I couldn't really publish something without a name. The name 'Panzer Dragoon Zero' took me all of five seconds to come up with, and appropriately fits the content. Chapter One was soon sent to Solo, with a request for him to put it on the fan fiction area of The Will of the Ancients, which he kindly did.

Things would have remained like this, was it not for another thread at Panzerdragoon.de, this time about the timeline, and its need for content. I informed the topic creator, Lagi, of where my fanfic was heading, and he advised me about how to go about the project. Now the site is complete, I intend to create several 'Episodes' of PDØ, and will fill in the gaps where required.
