Ford Lincoln Mercury
Dealership Sign
Soon thereafter I was contacted by a gentleman that said he had a sign for sale.  He had seen my bidding on eBay and offered his sign.  His dad had worked at a dealership, and had received the sign as a retirement gift.  He hung the sign in his garage, always hoping to get a Pantera someday, but that didnt happen.   I was sent an image of the sign hanging in their garage.
We discussed a price, but he wanted to offer it on eBay.  I suggested he make a Buy it Now option.  Within minutes of starting the auction
I bought via the Buy it Now feature, not wanting to let yet another sign go to another collector.  I gave the seller several suggestions on how to package the sign to avoid damage.  Sadly he chose his own plan, which was not completely successful as the crate arrived with both ends missing, and signs of possible damage.
However the Pantera Dealer Sign is now hanging in my garage, over my Pantera.
I have since seen another sign on eBay, and I bid, but being a second sign, I was less willing to bid high, and it went to one of several other higher bidders.  I am sure it went to a good home.
