Jeffrey
McKale's butler of nine years, a deep believer in keeping a stiff upper lip and doing what's right (not to mention what's safe). Jeffrey is in an intelligent man and a proficient worker, who's life has become terribly complicated since the appearance of McKale's timetraveling watch. Jeffrey veiws McKale's safety as one of his many duties and will do whatever he can to hkeep his employer out of harms way.
McKale
The master/mistress of the house, McKale, of dubious gender and excellent cross dressing abilities (although no one's quite sure as to whether he/she's a male impersonator or a female impersonator). A chipper, promiscuous person, McKale's naive bubbliness never ceases to get him/her tangled up with suspicious looking characters and tricky situations, despites his/her butler's best efforts to keep him/her out of harm's way.
Shar
Jeffrey's bond. The strong silent type, Shar is well on his way to becoming a master sleuth. He's observant and intelligent, with a great memory to boot. He's very loyal to Jeffrey, but isn't perhaps as altruistis as everyone believes.
Cy
Jeffrey's unexpected sponsorling. Cy is young, hot-heated, and brimming with curiosity. If she's got something to say, or a question to ask, she won't hesitent to shoot her mouth off. She's got an in-your-face attitude and she's not afraid to tell it like it is. Quick to judge, but also quick to change her mind, Cy's certainly not the type of little miss to irritate.
Hush and Sakay
Twice the fun and double the trouble, Hush and Sakay are McKale's bonded Sira-Pheonixes, identical twins in both appearance and mind. Horrid little trouble makers, they make Jeffrey's job many times more difficult. But at least they're not putting any one in danger. It is impossible to tell them apart, and they take quite a delight in hiding their gender from the public. They each answer to both their names, and only they themselves and McKale know who is who. (And a certain doctor, of course).
Wilbur Winquist
An inventor of sorts, who created McKale's watch in exchange for a rather nasty errand involving the collection of twelve person from all over time and space. He's a cheerful looking chap, chubby and pale, but not nearly as nice as he looks. He's unforgiving and impatient, and what he wants he gets. Or at least in McKale's case, or he/she'll lose the watch.
The Princes
From Erich Emmanuel Bishop to the shady looking murdon Shar's met on the streets of Star City, the Princes are those twelve persons Winquist wants, for whatever reason. Scattered throughout time and space it's become McKale's job to collect them and get them to him.
Bress
McKale's short term lover, a basilisk and quite the gentleman at that. He was an adviser and associate of one of the princes'.
Burnig
An old school chum of McKale's, currently working at a bar in Star City. Self-proclaimed searcher of candidates for Star City and the Abstract Destiny. He may or may not have a romantic history with McKale.
