| Pills Anonymous was started about 30 years ago by a physician from AA who realized there was a tremendous need for a place for people addicted to pills to recover. The meetings were, and still are, modeled after those of Alcoholics Anonymous. People who attend these meetings find other individuals who have had trouble with stopping the downward spiral of pill addiction. Together, through attendance at meetings, working the 12 Steps, sharing stories, and finding a sponsor who helps along the way, people are able to lick the problem. The results often lead to happier, more successful lives, than they had before. Click on the PA Definition of Sobriety (on the left menu) for a brief glimpse into how our program works. |
