After a tour , out to California; the Frantics returned in July of '97 , and went back into C.R.S. studio in Greenville, SC and recorded nine new tunes , that were later released by Trend Is Dead! Records in Illinois. The ten inch was released in 1998 , entitled "It's Casual" and it's another fun filled record from this band. The songs on 'It's Casual' are different than their previous releases. The best song on the record being "Insubordination" , I love that one. The Franitcs also recorded a full-length entitled "Downer" ; it was released as a LP and CD on Spider Club Records ; located in California. The band appeared on many compilations. Talent-wise , they got better with each release. Yet, they maintained the original element of fun from , "She's A Drag".

I still see Kevin occationaly , he spends his time with his family, working and playing acoustic guitar.. Timmy (guitarist and back-up vocalist) still plays guitar with a church band; Tres and I used to see him at the Waffle House. Anthony (bassist and back-up vocalist) went on to other kinds of music , reffered to as "industrial" (which I don't know anything about). Last time , I spoke with Todd (the very skinny drummer)  he was doing a radio show for U.S.C. in Columbia,SC.
Dave at Trend Is Dead! Records ; has assembled some really good compilations ; that include Frantics , Cletus , Bracket , The Cretins , The Young Hassellhoffs , Nobodys , Furious George and many others. You can get a number of Frantics records from Trend Is Dead! Records . You can (also) hear a number of their songs on this page.
The Frantics were a band that I loved and still do. I still listen to their records. They were exciting live and made fun records. "We never really broke up ; everybody just moved on and quit the Frantics." says, Kevin Mac (guitarist, singer and front-man). The Frantics remains to be one of my favorite bands , that's influenced me.
