About this time a band called The Frantics started playing local shows. They played at this restuarant called Legends ; it was two blocks from my parents house. I loved those shows. Other local bands started to formulate and play shows with The Frantics , it was awesome. Another band , The Ramens opened for'em more than once. There was also a couple others that were good and some not-so- good , of'course. The Frantics were playing like crazy , they'd play Legends twice every three weeks. I loved going to those shows. They drew  a really big crowd too , to lots of those shows ; especially the first one. Almost every kid in Clinton was at that first show , it was packed. Eventually , the owner of Legends got tired of paying the rent ; so the shows stopped.
The Franitcs recorded a seven-inch (by themselves) in December of 1995 , called 'She's A Drag' ; it is still today, is one of my favorite records. She's A Drag , had four songs ; She's A Drag, End of The Week, It's Me Again , and Ode To Coffee. Buy it , if you can ever find a copy of it. A record label in Grass Valley , California released it.
In Febuary of 1996, The Frantics recorded four more songs; 'Sucker' ,  'Gimmie A Dollar Inc'. ,' Bad Little Boy' , and 'Playing Dumb'. The same label that released , "She's A Drag" ; released the four new songs as, the ' Playing Dumb' ,  seven inch. I love it , too. It's four catchy, awesome songs. Wedge Records is the label that released those two Frantics records. Wedge Records also released other bands music , such as; A.F.I. , The Invalids and Elvis Disciples.
Then in December of 1996, the Frantics went and recorded four songs , in an actual studio in Greenville, SC. Recorded with Doug Mullinax , the four songs ; 'Stuck With Being The One To Hate', 'Downtown Delirium' , 'Trina's On A Postcard' and ' Slightly Modified Stick People'  ; were released (in 1997) as Mutant Pop Records number 22 , by Tim Chandler. Tim , at Mutant Pop Records has an ear for great, exciting , unknown music. He definitly has released more good records than bad and has given the light-of-day to many records , that wouldn't have seen it with out him.
