hurray for spring!!

Feeling...: breezy. It hasn't been warm enough for me to walk around barefoot for so long...my tootsies are rediscovering the joys of freedom
Listening to: three new house CDs I picked up at Kensington market a couple of weeks ago, mixes by Dimitri from Paris. I've known for a while that this is the kind of music that makes me happy enough to dance for hours, but it's not the kind of stuff you'd hear on the radio (which, I suppose, adds to its charm) and I didn't know where to start looking for it. The thing is, the artists themselves usually aren't famous, because it's purely about the music . But now, finally, I've found these CDs...it's the beginning of a musical revolution for me - and it's absolutely liberating :D
Excitement brewing over: leaving for my train trip in 8 days!! Also, it's "do-or-die" for both the Leafs and the Sens in tonight's Game 7...*eek*
Concerned about: erm...the three-day trip coming back home, from Vancouver straight to Toronto. Those train seats had better be comfy or I'm gonna be cranky somethin' FIERCE for a while after getting back..
People/things that made me smile: This week's TIME magazine has a special section on the "100 Most Influential Thinkers" of our time...can't wait to dig into that :)
Additional witty comments (heh heh heh): I started working at Resto just over six months ago, and I know it's affected me in more ways than one. The most recent occurence of this took place a couple of weeks ago, when we received a new music CD from our head office and one of the tracks is a song I've been searching for since going to France, believe it or not. It's called "Breathe" by Telepopmusik and I heard it in a Renault commercial, instantly falling in love with it but having no way to find out what it was called or who it was by. Finding it was one of the most victorious moments of my life :D ('cause you know how many marathons I've run...)

Aside from that I haven't been up to very much lately...I'm kind of at the brink of lots of exciting things right now - my trip being the most immediate, but also I've been filling out residence info for Mac and looking through available courses for September. I can't quite put into words how much I'm looking forward to starting university in less than five months. I thrive on change, and how much more could I ask for...
