a much-needed break...
It's like March break, but in October! For the next five days, I have a grand total of two classes to go to...thanks to the grade 10 literacy test (to think, there ARE some benefits to this new education system!) and a few ISP periods from a biology teacher who's been in an uncharacteristic good mood lately (can't decide whether I actually want to know WHY, but loving the end results!!) Friday's the dance at A.Y. and oh goodness, am I ever E-X-C-I-T-E-D!!!! I don't care how retarded everyone else may think it is...this is one of the only school events I look forward to every year - right up there with Pyjama Day and Karaoke in the Caf.
Here's something fun, if you've got a few minutes: QUIZZES heh heh heh...they're probably a waste of time, but they're fun and these ones are actually kinda interesting...not entirely the "he-loves-me-he-loves-me-not" junk in the magazines. There's one where you can see which kind of dog you're most like (there's one for you cat-lovers too...though why would you actually WANT to be compared to a cat?? :P )
Alrighty...I've got all these ideas for how I should spend this break I have...they're all good ideas, too...but they're (unfortunately) never gonna happen as long as I'm sitting here, trying to concoct a witty phrase or two. HAH...I'm so funny... :D

whew!
As Ive already bitched about to some of you, Ive just come out of what I affectionately termed my week from HELL (in actuality it lasted about 10 days, but week has a nice ring to it, dont you think?). In that short time, I was expected to accomplish the following: three tests (one each for bio, chem, and English), two presentations (one half-hour in length for English and the other an ISP for chem), a university-level lab report (NOT one of those purpose:, materials:, my observations: *bats eyelashes* - this one was five pages, typed), an in-class essay and a writing assignment. *BREATHE* Wednesday was the peak of all the craziness, and Id like to take this opportunity to apologize to those whom I verbally ripped to shreds on that day (though if it was on any other day, you probably deserved what you got).
ANYWAY.its now Tuesday, and the beginning of a shortened week (which reminds me, THANKS! :D ) and it seems things have died down for the time beingI just have one thing left on my long-standing to do list, which is to read The Watch That Ends the Night for English. Ive lost some of my initial interest in the book after some poopieheads (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!) ruined the ending for me, but I wont do the same for yall in case you ever have/want to read it. Its still pretty goodIm working my way through it, slowly but surely, and the only complaint I have is that its so damned LONG. But other than that.I cant WAIT to find out what happens to Catherine *dripping with sarcasm*

happy belated b-day to me!
My 17th birthday came and went, and yet you wouldnt know it from reading my postingsIve been so busy lately theres barely been time to blink, let alone write out just how absitively posolutely splendiferous my day actually wasits the conspiracy all over againour teachers bombard us with tests, projects, and assignments all due within that week, which of course leaves them free to have socials in the English rooms, with cookies and cakes and percolators full of steaming hot coffeeI dont even like coffee but the thought of them enjoying themselves while we slave away at our desks till the wee hours of theevening (I sleep early, you know that) makes me angry. Not that thatll do me any goodIm so sure the folks at Admissions at the U of Guelph are gonna look at my grades and go ohhhbut she had Mr Werden, poor thinglets just give her a full scholarship
But I digress. Back to my birthday: I just generally had a good day (despite having a biology test first period)decorated locker, a cookie from Rocky (hey, that rhymes), a pen with a squishy grippy thing, my own balloon on the Enigma bulletin board, Vienetta ice cream, and just a general feeling of satisfaction and contentment that I have the bestest friends and family in the whole wide world. J Also appreciated the opportunity to wear my Cat in the Hat hatthings are more fun when youre wearing a funky hat :P
*sigh* alrightthats about enough for today. All that works not going anywhere till I finish itbut maybe a piece of Vienetta will ease the pain
