TRAPPED

Everyone surrounds him,
Asking questions he doesn't want to hear.
He'd rather die then tell them the truth.
Out of all of them, only one truly cares.

Only one person who knows his past,
And every little thing that's passed through his wandering yet cluttered mind.
This person wishes that he'd be left alone...
Long enough so she could get in a word.

He stands outside the crowd, looking in...
Wishing they'd accept him, wishing to become like them.
He wants to be part of the group that everyone envies and dreams to be in...
But he is forever locked out.

She doesn't understand these wishes...
Why become something you're not to satisfy everyone else?
Now he's alone and looking so sad,
Too bad she doesn't have the courage...

To go speak to him, to coax out his secrets.
She knows he wants the other girl back,
But she doesn't see why.
Why? So he can be hurt again?

To have his tender heart of gold shattered once more?
She sees no point, and wants to do something!
But what can she do? She's the one who he keeps pushing away...
There they go again, damnable nosy people!

"Leave him be!" she wants to scream,
But she fears no one will listen.
The lyrics to "Always" by Saliva come to her mind...
As "Sweet Dreams" by Marilyn Manson pours from her glossy lips.

Her eyes become like glass as she loses herself in a daydream.
In it, the two are bathed in moonlight and are dancing beneath the endless stars.
He holds her close, whispers sweet promises, and seals them all with a deep, passionate kiss.
She traps him with herself in the world of daydreams, never to escape into the harsh reality that normally surrounds them...

Together forever...She finally got her wish.
