HELL
The walls,
they're closing in.
The ceiling,
it's crumbling above me.
The floor,
it's breaking into a million pieces.
And as the floor gives way,
I stand on a lone island,
trying not to fall into the black abyss below.
I spin slowly, watching my world shatter around me.
Tears sting my eyes as even my stand falls apart.
My feet lose their grip,
and I begin to tumble.
I feel a scream coming on. . .
I open my mouth. . .
No sound escapes.
Blood dribbles from my lips,
down my chest.
Where cloth ends, skin now stained shows.
I continue to fall,
On and on into the endless darkness.
A sick sick slideshow plays before my eyes.
The silence is slowly deafening me,
as the ebony air blinds me.
For hours, or so it seems,
I keep falling,
wondering when bliss will come. . .
An unbearable heat washes over me,
and an awful stench pierces my nose.
My descent seems quicker now,
and a faint light dances upon my unseeing eyes.
The light brightens,
the air scalds.
I feel my body hit the jagged bottom,
and I feel the bones snap.
A stray rib punctures my lung,
and several more bones push against my skin,
trying to break free.
Some succeed.
This time, I scream.
Nothing stops me now.
Blood wells in my mouth, nearly choking me.
I lie there, my fragile body shattered.
I scream until I can hardly breathe.
I begin to whimper now,
as Death crawls as slow as he pleases closer.
"Welcome to...Hell" he whispers before slinking off,
leaving me there, to be in pain for all eternity,
wishing I would have stayed.
