FORGIVE, DON'T FORGET

Whoever said Forgive and forget
They must have been crazy.
It might suit others perfectly
But it wasnt about you and me.

We are different, that is true.
Yet I cant stop from forgiving you.
I guess I lied, I still must care.
Maybe I cant resist your smile, or maybe its your colorful hair.

Ive forgiven you, but Ill never forget.
Its be a crime to forget all of this.
The poems, the hugs, the stolen kisses.
It just wouldnt be fair.

So Ill keep these memories locked away in my heart
Hidden from view, like valuable art
And when I look back on my first year as a teen
Ill remember the love and the laughter and all those tears.

I hope youll never forget.
And maybe, when were older
Well look back and remember,
The laughter, the tears and the love we shared.
