The days go by
Even the months
And still I can't forget it all

Then again I honestly want none of those things

I want to see you happy
Just with anyone but her
But that's not going to happen
Because it never works out that way

Nothing has ever gone the way I want it to
It's my curse

Wish I could be happy for you
Really, I do.
It's just not going to happen this time.
I've pretended before
And it got me nowhere
Just made me hurt all the more

So I guess all I can say is...
Let's forget our past
Every last little fragment of memory
And pretend we never were
Never will be...
And maybe we can both be happy.
