ARIANNA'S GOODBYE

A solitary figure lies upon the frozen ground
Still as stone, eyes unblinking
Their chest barely rises, barely falls
A name is called
Repeated endlessly
In a worried-cracked voice
Nothing registers, not a muscle twitches
They seem to be on that paper-thin line
The one between life and death
She, for Arianna is clearly feminine,
Seems to know this border quite well
Dare I say shes intimate with it?
Yes, because her scarred body is proof.
The heavens undeniable witnesses
Our shared clearing begins to darken
And slowly, snowflakes fill the air
As the first crystal brushes her pale face
She whispers a single word...
Goodbye...
And releases her grip on reality
Soon, her body is hidden by the ivory fluff
The perfect burial for a broken soul such as hers
