ANGEL TEARS

It�s raining outside
The angels must be sad
That�s what I was taught
�Whenever it rains Shannon,
the angels are crying.�
So I�m sitting here
Fourteen years old
Wondering why the angels are crying
They must be pretty sensitive
Because the angels sure do cry a lot
Sometimes for weeks on end
Maybe an angel sheds a tear
Every time someone dies
Because people sure do die a lot
And maybe when someone is born
Because new life is something to celebrate
The funny thing is...
Sometimes people don�t see the rain like I do.
It seems people are oblivious
To the beauty of these little drops of aqua
Don�t they know they�re angel tears?
The population is blind
But I promise to never
Hide this unique beauty from my children
Because everyone should know
That rain isn�t just water...
It�s the tears of an angel.
