PandaNet was created
by Patrick Jae-Ho Chang on August 19, 1999.
Although my website
is in essence a personal scrapbook, I
dubbed it PandaNet in honor of my
obsession with pandas which began when I was 9 years old on a trip to Kobe,
Japan. There I had my first encounter with live pandas for the first time and
received my first stuffed
panda bear, which I named Chuly. I was instantly smitten with the
lumbering black-and-white bears with their sad, clownish eyes and awed by
their universal appeal to animal lovers as the symbol of nature's creatures.
(Chuly still lives at home in Korea with
his sister Yungy, who belongs to my sister.)
PandaNet is dedicated to my
friends and family, because without them, I would be nothing ,
and this website would have nothing on it except pictures of a cat and a car.
PandaNet is a labor of love, but any donations are always
graciously accepted. =)
Note: Photographs will be
inserted chronologically according to when they were taken (i.e. oldest at the
top, newer towards the bottom). It might be easier for readers to notice
newer photos that way but it won't make sense in the story.
