Chapter One
"Everybody, everywhere wishes they could be famous, and everybody, everywhere wishes they could tell, everybody, everywhere go to hell..."-Everclear
"No, no, NO! To the left, Leslie! How many times do we have to go over this?!" asked a frustrated young man. The tall blond-haired girl, rolled her eyes and yawned. "So sorry, David, but just how long is this going to take? You're exhausting me." He put his hands on his hips and glared. "We would've been long done, if it hadn't been for you and your whining!" Leila Morgan looked up from her book and smiled to herself. 'Way to go, David!' she thought to herself, amused. Her sister, Leslie Morgan, was Hollywood's fastest growing star and because of that, she had this insane idea, that everyone she came across was to bow at her feet and kiss the ground she walked on. Puh-leeze.

"Now, exactly WHO do you think you are, talking to my daughter in such a manner?" asked her mother, Lise Morgan. Leila whistled to herself, as she saw her mother's ice blue eyes narrow in disgust. 'Poor, poor, David. I'm glad I'm not him.' David sighed and crossed his arms. "I'm sorry Mrs. Morgan, but we're all tired, and we're all on edge, and it seems you're daughter doesn't feel like cooperating, so excuse me, if I'm not Mr. Sunshine." Lise glared at him. "That is still NO excuse for treating my daughter with such disrespect. Now, so we can all go home, please hurry it up." He sighed and threw up his hands. "Ok, Leslie, again. And let's get it right?"

Leila smiled and shook her head, before delving back into her book. "Leila, darling, what on earth are you doing?" Leila looked up at her mother, hovering over her. "Oh, I'm reading, mom." Lise nodded. "How nice. How can you be reading at a time like this?" Leila looked at her confused. "Um, time like what?" Lise rolled her eyes. "Don't you know how incredibly lucky you are? To watch Leslie Morgan film her next movie? Don't you realize how many girls would kill to be in your place?" Leila  bit her lip to keep from laughing. "She's my sister, mom. It's not like this is a new thing for me." She shook her head and focused back on the book she was reading.

"Just what are you so engrossed with?" Leila looked up. "Oh, it's called 'Left Behind' it's really good so far it's about the Earth's last days, and what's gonna happen, and all these people just start disappearing, but the cool thing is" Lise held up a hand. "It sounds very interesting, but really, I don't have time to listen to you ramble on about one of your books." Leila sighed and stood up and walked over to where David was standing. He smiled. "Hey Leila. How's it goin'?" She shrugged. "I've seen ants that are more amusing than this." He laughed. "I honestly don't have any idea, how someone as nice and sweet as you can be stuck with those two evil witches."

Leila laughed. "Me either. Which proves my assumptions that I'm exactly like my father are true." David laughed. "And that's a wrap folks!" He turned to Leila and winked. "Thank heavens. So, how is your dad?"

"Leila! Let's go! The limo is here and we're leaving!" Leslie's snobby voice rang  throughout the commotion of all that was going on. Leila smiled and looked at David. "He's doing great. I finally get to visit him in a few weeks down in Orlando. And for once, I get to go ALONE. No Leslie to bother the heck out of me." David grinned and gave her a small hug. "You'd better get going, kid. Wouldn't want to keep their highnesses waiting, now would we?" Leila smiled. "No, we certainly wouldn't want that."

"LEILA!" Two loud, arrogant voices rang out at the same time. She grabbed her book and took off toward the limo. David shook his head. "Now, why couldn't Leila have been the big star of the family?"
