Chapter Three
Melissa, QUICK! Come here! Jeremy is crashing!!" Skylar frantically yelled from Jeremy and Jessica's room. "Get that crash cart in here NOW!" Melissa ordered to the two other nurses, as she ran into the room.

"Mele!! What's happening?" Jessica cried, clutching onto her teddy bear, as she watched the nurses and doctors hovering over Jeremy.

"Jess, not now hun!" Melissa said, as she pulled open Jeremy's eyelids, shining a light into them, testing the reflexes, "His eyes are fixed and diolated, showing no response." she said, as she pulled her stethoscope off her neck, "Where is that crash cart at??" she yelled.

Two nurses finally ran into the room dragging the crash cart along behind them. The doctor quickly grabbed the two paddles off of the base and held them out to one of the nurses to put the gel onto. He quickly rubbed them together and placed them on Jeremy's chest, "Okay everyone, clear!" he yelled as everyone backed up. The electricity jolted through the young boy's body causing him to jump.

"Still no rhythm." Melissa said, checking the heart monitor. "Charge it up to 250!" The doctor commanded, as he placed the paddles back on Jeremy's chest and jolted him.

"I still got nothing here." Melissa said, checking his blood pressure.

"Charge it up to 350 then!!" The doctor yelled, rubbing the paddles together again before placing them back on Jeremy's chest, "Come on little guy. Stick with me here, come on!" Once again, the electricity jolted through his body.

"Okay, I have a very weak pulse." Melissa said, placing a oxygen mask over his face to help him breathe. "Okay, call up ICU. We have to put him up there so they can monitor him better. If he doesn't get a heart transplant soon, we're gonna lose him." The doctor sighed, placing the paddles back on the base of the crash cart.

The guys ran onto their bus quickly, all collapsing into the nearest seat, still trying to regain their breath from the show.

"Hey JC, where was Melissa? I didn't see her anywhere." Lance questioned, grabbing a bottle of water. "I have no idea. She said she would be there. Maybe she got held up at the hospital or something." JC shrugged.  "Well of course she would've came if she could, just so she could have another chance to see me. Did you guys see the way she would look at me?" Joey replied, cockily. "Oh, please, whatever." Chris said, shaking his head in disgust. "Oh come on! You KNOW it's the truth!" Joey cried in defense. "Joey, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but I can already tell you that she's not interested in you whatsoever." Justin laughed. "And how do you know that oh great and wise one?" Joey asked, sarcastically. "Are you people blind or something?" Lance yelled. "What are you talking about Lance?" Chris asked, looking over at him. "I can tell you all right now, that if she has a 'thing' for any of us, it's JC." Lance replied, causing JC to almost choke on his water.

Melissa plopped down into one of the chairs in the nurses office, going over all her patient's charts. She sighed and stared down at the huge stack of charts sitting in front of her. She knew that she had a long night ahead of her.

"I wonder how much he hates me for missing the concert." she said to herself, "wait a second, what am I thinking? He probably didn't even notice I was missing. 10,000 screaming girls compared to one 22 year old. Yup, no contest." She laughed to herself, grabbing a chart off the top of the stack.

A few hours had passed, when Skylar walked into the nurses lounge and sat down beside Melissa, "Almost finished?"

"I'll probably gonna be here another hour and a half, THEN I'll be done." Melissa replied with a tired smile. "Thank God for caffeine." She laughed, holding up her Mt. Dew can.

Skylar reached over and grabbed the charts away from Melissa, "Why don't you go ahead and get out of here. I can finish these up for you."

"Girl, don't be silly. I can finish them, it's not a problem."
"Oh, I didn't say it was a problem, I just figured you'd like to get out of here, since you have a really hot guy standing outside the door waiting on you." Skylar smirked with a mischevious grin on her face. "What?" Melissa asked, giving Skylar a confused look. "Go see for yourself." Skylar smirked, pointing towards the door.

Melissa gave Skylar a funny look, then stood up and walked towards the door, opening it slowly. She looked out and saw a tall brown headed guy leaning up against the wall with his back facing her.

Her mouth dropped open, as she struggled to get the words out of her mouth, "JC?
