Chapter Six
Melissa sighed hard to herself seeing complete confusion and hurt pouring out of JC's ice blue eyes. Before she had a chance to respond she felt a hand grip her arm tightly causing her to wince in pain.

"I was NOT done talking to you." Brian snapped, then looked over giving JC an ice cold stare, "What are you doing here??"

JC cocked an eyebrow and stared Brian back down. "Wanna loosen your grip on her arm there? You're hurting her." Melissa bit her lip from the pain when Brian tightened his grip. "Stay out of this Chasez, it DOESN'T concern you!" Brian retorted.

"I don't care if it concerns me or NOT! Let her go!" JC said, taking a step closer to Brian and Melissa. She whimpered in pain and fright as Brian grabbed her arm tighter and started pulling her down the hall with him, "Brian...l...let go!"

He shoved her into a room and slammed the door. "SHUT UP! I'm so SICK of hearing you bitch and complain!" he yelled, pinning her up against the wall.

Melissa knew what was coming next. She was all too familiar with his course of actions. He'd yell at her, then he'd forcefully push and pull her around to where he wanted to go, then he would get what he always wanted to get out of her most; whether she agreed to it or not. She had been trying for months to break up with him, but she was scared senseless of him. She was always scared of the way he acted towards her, but she knew if she tried breaking up with him, it would really escalate and be horrible. She never knew Brian was this kind of person until after they had been together for 2 month; when his REAL colors started showing. Showing how violent and dangerous he really was.

Brian pulled off her shirt and kissed his way up to her neck, smirking to himself as he whispered, "I love you," into her ear. Melissa trembled and clenched her eyes shut tightly getting the chills from him doing that. "If this is love, I NEVER wanna feel it." She silently told herself.

JC sighed and ran out to his car deciding to wait for her at home to find out what was going on. He had never been more confused about someone in his life. He was very strongly attracted to Melissa, and he had thought that she had been just as attracted to him. But seeing her with Brian triggered a thousand different raging emotions inside; hurt and confusion being the dominating ones.

He shook his head to himself, unable to get that look on Melissa's face, that look showing extreme fear and a silent plea for help, out of his head. "She's not one of those girls to just sit back and let something bad happen to them. She's strong, she's independent, she wouldn't let someone like that jerk her around. She'd put a stop to it, she wouldn't stand for it!" He silently told himself as he pulled up into her driveway. He got out and planted himself on the porch to wait for her to come home, and hopefully get some answers.

Brian pushed Melissa away from him after he was finished with her, "I know you're hiding something from me Melissa. I can see it in your eyes." he smirked.

Melissa shook her head slowly and bit her lip to keep her uncontrollable tears back. Brian stood there and watched her. He had total control over her and he LOVED it. He thrives on power and fear, and he definitley knew how to push her buttons to make her deathly afraid of him.

Brian shrugged and turned to walk out the door, then stopped and turned back around to face her, "I'll find out what it is Melissa. You know I will. It's only a matter of time baby." He smirked, "You know what happens when I find out you've been hiding something from me." With that he turned to walk out of the room.

Melissa collapsed onto an empty hospital bed and sobbed for a good 30 minutes straight. On the outside she was always so strong, everyone around her noticed it. But what no one noticed, was that she was crumbling on the inside. She was trapped in something that she knew there was no way to get out of. And that scared her, everything about him scares her. And she knew it was only a matter of time before he found out about JC; and she knew what would happen to her then.

Melissa wiped her eyes again pulling up into her driveway two hours later, startled seeing JC sitting on her porch swing, "Oh god." she muttered to herself as she got out of the car. JC sat back and waited on her to come up the steps. He wanted to just jump up and ask her what in the hell was going on. Why she had played with him like she did. But when he saw the look on her face, the scratches on her body, seeing her tremble violently with fear; he knew that this situation was deeper than he expected.
