| "Are you listening? Whoa, oh, oh, sing it back, oh oh, oh I was spinning free whoa oh oh with a little sweetness, la la" Hayden grinned at his friend, who was dancing around her room with her back turned away from him. He grinned and yelled. "CHLOE MAGUIRE ROCKS MY SOCKS!! WHOOO!" She swirled around to face him, and sighed. "I hate you." He grinned and held his arms out to her. "Well, I love you I honestly loooovveee youuu." She rolled her eyes. "Get out. You freak of nature." He nodded, as the doorbell rang. "Whooo. I'll get it, hunny!" She sighed, and waved her hand. "Whatever." She pulled on a pair of shorts and a tank top, and began working on braiding her hair. She didn't hear Hayden yelling, and frowned. She finished her hair, and walked out into the hall, where she nearly crashed into Hayden. "Hay who's at the door?" He cleared his throat and motioned down to the den. "Um, you'd better go look yourself, Chlo." She sighed. "Hayden." He shrugged. "Just go. I'll follow." Curious, as well as confused, she headed down to the den and stopped dead in her tracks as she saw JC sitting there. He stood, and gave her a small smile. "Hi." She nodded. "Uh, hey." He sighed. "Um, we've really gotta talk, if that's alright with you?" She nodded. "Yeah, we do and it's fine" Hayden grinned and kissed her cheek. "I'll talk to you later, Chloe." He waved to them and headed out. She motioned for him to sit. "You want something to drink?" He shook his head. "No, thank you, I'm fine." She nodded. "Ok, then." She sat down in front of him, and looked down at her hands. He drew in a deep breath. "Ok. First, I just wanted to say how sorry I am, for acting like such a jerk I'm seriously going to work really hard on my attitude and outward appearance. I guess you just needed to know that and maybe understand why I get so freaked." She nodded. "Apology accepted. And I guess, I can understand. But, then again, I don't. My love situations are way more bizarre. As in how I don't have any." She chuckled. He smiled. "I find that a bit hard to believe." She smiled. "Nah. It's really not. I don't have much luck with guys they like my brother." He looked at her seriousness, and threw his head back and laughed. "Oh, my that's just, funny." She giggled. "Isn't it? It's so true, though. It makes me SO mad!" He shook his head. "What about that guy? Hayden?" She smiled. "My best friend. He's a funny guy. And Anakin in Star Wars Episode 2." JC's mouth dropped open. "Really?! I love Star Wars!" She nodded. "You seemed like you would." He grinned. "Han Solo was the best ever." She laughed. "I agree. But there was something about Luke and his lightsaber" He smiled, before shaking his head. "Which was your favorite?" She frowned. "Empire. Without question." He laughed. "Why?! It's all about Jedi!" She shook her head. "Nope. I loved the Han and Leia thing. It was too wonderful. Fighting is the best way to start something." He smiled, before looking down. "Chloe think we can maybe be friends?" She nodded. "Yeah I can see that as a possibility. You like Star Wars. You're already moving up on my cool people list." He laughed. "You have one of those?" She nodded. "Sure only cool people get on it, obviously." He nodded. "Who else is on this list?" She sighed. "Well. My brother and Hayden of course. And Mel. And now, you Harrison Ford, John Cusak, Jerry Bruckheimer Dave Thomas, Chris, the Blink 182 guys, and more, but I can't think right now." He looked at her strangely. "Dave Thomas? The Wendy's guy?" She nodded, seriously. "I would absolutely DIE without Wendy's 99 cent menu." He looked at her, before laughing again. "Oh man. You are a nut." She shrugged. "Hey. It's all gravy." He nodded, before standing. "I should go I didn't mean to interrupt you or anything." She shrugged. "Eh, it's cool.. in fact if you wanna chill with me and Hayden tonight watch some Full Metal Jacket eat some take out or something it'd be cool." He smiled. "No, I couldn't impose like that." She rolled her eyes. "It wouldn't be like that. You're staying. It's decided." Before he could say anything, Hayden burst through the door. "SO! Who's hungry? I know I am, so can we decide what we're eating, so we can start this classically hilarious foul-mouthed movie?" Chloe smiled. "Sure, Hayden." He nodded. "Alrighty, then. JC, why don't you come help me find the movie, while Chloe gets us food?" He shrugged at Chloe, before trailing after him. She smiled after them, and shook her head. Six |
