I have lived in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area for about 15 years.  For a short time, while we were both students at U. C. Berkeley, my husband had a job doing Trap-Neuter-Release at the university's family student housing complex.  There was feral colony there and the university agreed to try TNR.  I would often assist with the trapping.  We also lived in that complex, which is where we got three of our cats.  We also did some fostering and taming of the feral kittens, which were then adopted out.  All my cats are spayed/neutered and are Indoor-only.

Without further adieu, here are my sweeties....
Yoko was the first cat in household.  We got her as a 5 1/2 week old kitten and she was an only cat for well over a year.  She never took to the other cats; she only related to humans.  She would sit on our laps in the living room and climbed on our chests at bedtime every single night.  She had a beautiful deep rumble-purr.  Her favorite toy was a  milk jug ring.  We might have called her Yoko, but she will always be our "Kitten."
Rainbow Angel Yoko (1991-2000)
An adopted alley cat, Data was Sweetest cat in the world - he LOVES humans and other cats.  He was FIV positive when we adopted him, and later contracted FeLV.  He drooled when he was very happy and sometimes I'd think he was part "dog."  Data introduced himself to us by walking into our living room one Thanksgiving night and rolling on the floor.  Since he had an "owner" we did not make him ours immediately, but that was a long tale...
Rainbow Angel Data (1992-2003)
Ocho is our little "Eight-Lives Cat."  We think he may have Tonkinese in his lineage because he has the Tonkinese nose.  My husband found Ocho in the same neighborhood as Data and Samantha.  He was badly injured, with a severely infected and broken hind leg.  He had to have the leg amputated but is now a happy and pretty well-adjusted kitty.  Ocho is rather insecure around our other cats, sometimes making little noises which attract their attention and incur their "wrath."  He really likes his humans.  He is also the most vocal of our cats.  Now almost 8 years old, his favorite way of showing affection is to rub our faces while making "snuffle" noises.  He also loves to roll on my (and only my) clothes.
Ocho
Samantha was a Bona Fide Feral and was raising a litter of very fierce kittens when she was trapped. She was from same neighborhood as Data and Ocho, but she was NEVER anybody's pet!  She has big, blue eyes and a very sweet meow.  Her age unknown, but we have had her for almost 7 years.  She adored Data.  She was his constant companion and they often groomed each other.  In the wee hours of the night, they would play "tag."  It took 3 1/2 years, but she has finally decided that being a pet isn't too bad and sits with us on the couch every night, demanding to be petted and nipping us if we are slow.
Samantha
Tinker is our newest guy.  He was a stray tom who we'd been feeding since we moved here.  He is also FIV+.  Before we adopted him we used to call him Tinkerbell Clone.  "Tinkerbell" (our nickname for her - no idea what her real name is) is the neighbor's foofy girl cat with a pink collar and a little bell.  We see her outside occasionally.  Well, Tinker looks a lot like her, hence "clone."  He's a little gruff, but very sweet and seems to be adjusting to being an indoor pet.

Julie--

Well, I'm Julie, 25, and live in the Silicon Valley with my two cats,
Jonah and Finn, and 3 other roommates.  Though I love all animals, I always thought of myself as a d*g person, but in Feburary 2002, after a hard breakup with a long term boyfriend, I decided that I needed someone in my life who'd always stick around and love me unconditionaly.

I can't have a dog where I live, so I settled on selecting a cat.  I immediately thought of the breed Bengals - which I was introduced to by a different boyfriend several years back.  I was attracted to them by their beauty and exoticness, but fell in love with their personality.  Since I couldn't have a d*g, the next best thing was a "d*g-like" cat!!

I got Jonah - a brown spotted Bengal - when he was 12 weeks old, at the end of Feburary from a very responsible breeder, who's since turned into a good friend.  She had originally planned on keeping Jonah to make him a stud, but decided to let him go since she knew I would be a wonderful and loving home for him!

I soon realized that one Bengal wasn't enough and added Finn (short for Finnigan) - a brown marble Bengal - to our home in August 2002.  And yes, I did end up with *very* dog-like kitties!!  They both love to romp on leash in the backyard and take short walks around the block!  Finn LOVES to play fetch (though he'll only play fetch with ONE toy!).  Jonah drinks from the toilet, and chews everything!!  Both are insatiably curious, nothing new in the house goes undiscovered.  New friends MUST be sniffed and Bengal approved!!  They love to be wherever I am (even if it's in the bathroom!) and snuggle with me in bed or on the couch watching a movie!!

Jonah and Finn (and the Acme House Of Cats) have turned me into a great cat purrson!!  At the present moment, because of our living situation, I'm limited to only two feline friends
- but hope to add many more someday!!!

Meet Jean....

I am a 43 year old military wife living in Northern New York @ Fort Drum with my gorgeous military husband.  We are owned by 2 beautiful cats...A thirteen year old regular tabby male named
Tiny although he is anything but...LOL He is my aloof royal sir...

Then we are also owned by a 3 year old princess girl polydactyl on all four paws named
Pansy Jean.  She cracks us up at every turn and she is a joy to have.  They both are.  If we were not a military family we would have several more but they have their rules.

I love all animals.  I love to read, cross stitch, garden, any animal cause, and to help others as best I can.

Profile:  Hi!  I am currently a stay-at-home-Mom to Sydney, born 1/31/2005.  My other "children" are my two kitties, Winnie (7 yrs.) and Simon (3 yrs.)  Both were strays when I picked them up.  I fell in love with both and they never left.   :)

I also have two ratties - cute boys named Ben and Frank.  I don't have as much time for them as I'd like but they're sweet pets - they usually forgive me for ignoring them if I give them treats.  I get my fingers washed by them frequently!

I'm working on my MA in Psych - hope to be finished in a few years.  We shall see!
