Over the years we have bred shelties that we feel conform as closely as possible to the Standard in regard to conformation, type and excellent movement , culminating in our three lovely boys...CH. SHELBRONZE HIGH SPIRITS (Ryan), CH. SHELBRONZE HEZE MY GUY (Rhett...litter brother to Ryan), and our top winning boy (deceased), CH. SHELBRONZE JACK O'HEARTS (Jack), who was only 56 points short of his Grand Championship (1000 points) when he tragically passed away. These dogs have been bred along top Australian and English lines.
A tricolor female, CH. TOBENLEE WEE BONNIE LASS (Abby), handled to her title by Donna Saltau, partner in SHELBRONZE KENNELS, and of course my daughter, joined our household. Abby is sired by the top winning blue merle shetland sheepdog, Grand Champion Hillacre Wee Macgregor, owned by Fiona Brown-Elkner. This was the start of our tricolour line.
New arrivals bred by Barbara Phillips of the well known Nigma Kennels in Victoria, are here and settling in well.
The male, CH. Nigma Hitch Hiker (Mike) was sired by an English import, Milesend Stroller, (sadly Stroller died due to a tragic accident after siring only the one litter in Australia, so Mike is very precious to us), and the female, Ch. Nigma Tiger Lily (Tiger), sired by Ch. Nigma Eros, who is a "Ryan" son, are both sable and white, and they should prove to be very welcome additions to our future breeding program.
We at SHELBRONZE are extremely proud of the quality shelties we have produced over the years, and grateful to the many Judges from both Australia and overseas, both All Breeds and Specialist, who have acknowledged that quality by the high awards they have bestowed on our dogs.
We would also like to thank those who had faith enough to use/buy our stock and were rewarded with champion off-spring...Ch. Nigma Eros, a "Ryan" son, owned by Nigma Kennels, and Ch. Shelbronze Lil Instigata ROMA (bitch), owned by Hortonpark Kennels, and sired by "Jack". "Jack" also has three gorgeous off-spring, two males and one female, owned by Per and Birgitta Svarstad, in Sweden. One of these has recently become a Swedish/Danish Champion. We are looking forward to their further progress with great interest.
And so to the future..........
