Our sheltie angels...page 2
TIA (Shelbronze Tymtels All)... was a Nina daughter.  She was an extremely typey, excellent moving & well marked sable and white sheltie with a beautiful expression, who, unlike her mum, liked the showring and did very well up against the top shelties of the day, but again, alas, never gained her title, due mainly to her very novice owners.

She was not a bitch who was easy to mate unfortunately, so it was to be 6 years before we had a litter from her, and then only by default, as I had imported a do
g

from England, and he decided to "help himself".  She never looked in the slightest as if she were in whelp so it was a huge surprise when she presented us with a litter of three, 2 males and 1 female.

We decided to run on
Danny (Shelbronze Dan Tanner), who had some excellent wins, including classes at our Sheltie Champ. Show, 2nd in his class at Melbourne Royal, and 2nd in his class behind his litter brother at our first sheltie National.

Tia was then bred to Ch. Mallorene Easy Lover, and whelped a litter of 6.  I kept a bitch from this litter,
Kayla (Shelbronze Scene Stealer), who was bred to Ch. Nigma Nobel, and the rest is history.  From that litter, we made up the titles on two males, 'Ryan' & 'Rhett', and a litter sister, Bryna (Shelbronze Happi Hooka) is the dam of our current star, 'Jack' (Ch. Shelbronze Jack O'Hearts), who is only 57 points short of his Grand Championship.

Tia was put to sleep after getting mammary cancer, and is still very sadly missed.
SHANNON (Shelbronze Shanandoah)...was another Nina son by Ch. Jentam Sonsuki Tequila.  He was a beautiful red sable and white with a profuse coat, very well marked, lovely head and movement, and while with us had some lovely wins.  He later went to live with John & Maree Rice (Abacel) in South Australia, where he gained Challenge points and learned to herd sheep & goats, something he loved to do.  Unfortunately his show career was cut short due to injury.  He, also, lived to a ripe old age in the care of John & Maree.
LONNIE (Shelbronze Born T'Shine)...Kalon, or Lonnie as he was more lovingly known, my lovely, gentle best friend.  Along with all his other attributes he had the most glorious fox red colour, and won the colour class whenever he was entered.  He also won many gait and best head classes at our Sheltie Championship  and Open Shows, won his class at our S.S.C.V. Champ. show under UK breed specialist  Albert Wight from Sharval Kennels, and won his class at Melbourne Royal.  He was another dog who should have gained his title, but because of the times, he never did.
He had dozens of Reserve Challenges to top winning dogs of the day.

I think we all have a 'special' sheltie, and Lonnie was mine.  He went to Rainbow Bridge not so very long ago, and I feel I still see his fleeting shadow out of the corner of my eye, always watching over me.  Just the faintest breeze as his tail wags as he walks beside me.  Loved and remembered always and forever.
MY FRIEND

My friend, my friend - if you could talk the things you could tell,
No malice of thought and no evil of heart,
How mankind would advance if it learned this fine art.
In the depth of your eyes is the knowledge of life,
Your soul is pure of all worldly strife.
Just to love and to give with no strings attached,
Is something mere humans just cannot match.
So fly, dear friend, on the wings of a dove,
And with you goes my heart and all of my love.

MY SHELTIE - MY FRIEND

If wealth could be measured by the love you give to me,
I'd be a millionaire!
Yet all the money in the world couldn't buy your love and care,
You give it voluntarily!
No matter whether I feel down and out,
At my lowest ebb in life,
When nothing seems to turn out right and all around is strife,
There you sit beside me, loving friend and confidante,
Silently dispelling all my troubles and my doubts.
You've seen me through my bad times - my good times, highs and lows,
The fun we've had, the travels, and through you, the friends I've come to know.
Now the years are quickly rolling by - where on earth did they all go?
Your muzzle is no longer gold but nearly white with age.
Your eyes are dull, your walk so slow -
Life has quietly turned another page.
I know the time will shortly come, when our paths must be divided,
The decision I will have to make will break my heart I know,
Yet with all that I truly feel, as night must follow day,
That in that other world we'll meet again, to continue on our way.

KAYLA (Shelbronze Scene Stealer)...Our beautiful Kayla (a Tia daughter) went across the Rainbow Bridge on the 16th February 2004 at the grand age of 16 years.  .

She was the dam of our wonderful Ch. Shelbronze High Spirits (Ryan) who had over 500 challenge points when he was re-tired from the ring so we could concentrate on another young dog we had at the time who was showing a lot of promise.

A litter brother , Rhett (Ch. Shelbronze Heze My Guy) also went on to gain his
title in style, and a litter sister, Bryna (Shelbronze Happi Hooka), became the dam of our top winning young dog, Jack (Ch. Shelbronze Jack O'Hearts) who sadly went to Rainbow Bridge at 6 years of age due to an immune system failure in November 2002.

Although not gaining her title as she was sparingly shown, she was a wonderful brood bitch and passed on her lovely construction and movement to her children.  Another of our "oldies" who will be very sadly missed.
