Settled on Lynches Creek in the western part of the Chesterfield District, SC., shortly after marrying. Where he remained 'til his death. Listed on the Roster of Patriots SC in The American Revolution. He served as an ensign in The Volunteer Company of St. David's Parish during 1775-1776 and was a LT. in Marion's Brigade (Council Of Safety - 11-30-1775) |
