The name Eubank, or Eubanks, originated from the place of residence of it's first bearers..a place called " Yewbank" because of it's location along the bank of a river where Yew  trees grew.

The name is found in ancient English records listed as:
Yewbank, Ewbanck, Ewbanke, Ewebank, Ewbank, Ewbanks, Ubancke, Eubancke, Eubank, and finally on to Eubanks.

Families of this name were found in early dates in the English counties of  Lancaster, York, Westmoreland, Durnam, Lincoln, and London. They were for the, most part, of the
Landed Gentry and Yoemanry of Great Briton.

It is not known from which of the many lines of the family, in England , decended the first migrants to America. It is, however, believed that all of the Eubanks and Eubank families were of common ancestry at a remote period.

It is believed that the first of the name in America was Henry Eubanks or Eubank. He was living in VA as early as 1653, but no definate records have been found concerning his immediate family.

Descendants of these and other branches have spread to every State of the Nation and have aided as much in the growth of the Country as their ancestors aided in the founding of the Nation.

They have been noted for their energy, industry, integrity, piety, perserverance, fortitude, patience, resourcefulness, initiative, courage, and loyalty.
