INSTRUCTION
for
A JOSEPHINE KNOT
A Josephine knot is created by using only 1/2 of the double knot (ds) in some patterns this is  referred to as D or S.
Make a RING of X number of D or S  close ring
This would be :-
The pic.   Is a  JK  of 60 
D sts close ring,   in usual manner.
INSTRUCTIONS

THE SPIRAL CHAIN
The spiral chain is achieved in the   same manner as the JK.
 
the pic. is    sp chain of 60 S sts
 
the spiral automaticly achieved   when you pull the thread of             the   chain,
  as you do for the normal chain.
INSTRUCTIONS
for
ZIG_ZAG CHAIN
The Zig-Zag Chain is achieved by doing both D and S.
   alternating between the two.
  The pic. is a :-  ZZ chain of  * 10
D sts    10 S sts.**
                     repeat  from * to**  2 times more  ( 3 X total)
         This equals  60 1/2 sts.    which would be the same size as
            30 ds
