| Enduring Love
If you have to say you hate me everyday Then in my heart I know the love remains. I came across the poem you wrote about me by pure chance. So here are my words to you: I told you many times that my love is true, you hold my soul within your hands. From the day we met, we shared a bond� You were and still are the only one. Why you turned and walked away, I may never understand. But what I do Know is the love that I felt in your arms. The day you said that you never loved me Broke my heart and made me cry. When I deployed for OIF, I called to tell you bye, you broke down in tears and confessed that your love had never left. But that only lasted for a few short weeks Then you turned and refused to speak. I said things that were hurtful letting anger rule my heart. You never gave me reason why-you simple left without even a goodbye. My heart begged me to go to you But your words always rang true. You asked me to leave you alone And I stayed where I belonged. Everyday I think of you, and how Much I regret not fighting for you I love you still, wishing that we can find a Way back to the start |
| Flowing Emotions My love is like a river, flowing never to reach an end Everyone claims that the pain will leave and love will come again But I know better, you are the sun warming me with its rays You are the ocean cradling me in its waves You are the love holding me at bay You captured my heart and my love will always stay I gave you my heart ever so free, I gave you my love But you set it free. The day will come that you will have a great epiphany and realize that you love only me. |
