PECK LAKE PHOTOS
Peck Lake as seen traveling north on the Intracostal Waterway (looking to the northeast.) Note large marker in center of photo. This is the anchorage area. Other boats are seen near shore. The walkway over to the ocean-side beach is found near these boats. The water is very shallow just south of the anchored boats (shallow water is seen screen right.) To approach the anchorage area or beach access area, line your boat perpendicular to the beach/marker and come straight in. To the south of this imaginary line you will run soft aground in less than a foot of water.
This is the unmarked approach channel. Wait until you can line your boat up perpendicular with the beach and mark (as seen here) before trying to cross. The shoaling is immediately to the south of the sailboat (screen right.)
