Nuisance is far more than he appears. Once raised with another Psyduck by an extremely strict trainer, he was abandoned when he refused to evolve. He was found by Toby Marain, and spent a miserable week in his room. Then Toby gave the Psyduck he'd dubbed "Nuisance" to his sister, Ivonar, when he indirectly broke her leg. In spite of early awkwardness with her, Nuisance became completely devoted to her, as she was the first person to ever accept him for simply being himself.

Nuisance has proven to be extremely powerful, psychically. He has mastered Psychic Toss, the most powerful psychic attack, and was able to defeat an Abra in a battle of telekinetics. In spite of his generally befuddled nature, he has also proven to be extremely intelligent, and capable of making difficult decisions to achieve his goals - such as using Self-Inflict, or waiting to return attacks until his headache is powerful enough. He has also proven capable of leading the other Pok�mon in battle. (Just read A Pallet Pair #11 and you'll understand completely.) He has gained the respect of the other Pok�mon, including Manx, though the Persian would never admit it.
