Remmy doesn't know how such a rare Pok�mon made its way into a river in Viridian Forest, or how he had the immense luck to have it bite his foot - all he knows is that he has never once regretted it. The bond between Remmy and Drake was instantaneous: when Remmy offered to give Drake to Ivonar, all three knew he was just doing it as a joke.

Drake is a kind-hearted Pok�mon, fiercly loyal and protective to its trainer. The two share an easy-going but mysterious quality, and a stern seriousness in battle situations. Drake likes being out of its pok�ball, but understands that sometimes it is necessary for it to keep out of sight, especially in places crowded with people. While unafraid of the attention it attracts, it does seem to realize that the attention could backfire somehow. While on the road, however, it tends to curl up on top of Remmy's backpack, where it can keep a sharp lookout for anything that might threaten its trainer and his companion.
