MAURY: Well honey, how was your day?
CONNIE: Oh, very busy... first this morning I covered the elections, flew to Washington to interview the Speaker of the House, met Hilary Clinton for lunch, and then flew back to New York. When I arrived my assistant gave me the great news that I landed the first exclusive interview with Sadaam Hussain, so I immediatly began preparing. I then filmed my stories for World News Tonight. Oh did I tell you I'm filling in for Peter (Jennings)? So, yeah, finished that up, then came straight on home to you darling....
MAURY: So, just another day huh?
CONNIE: Yeah you know, same ole same ole. What about you? Anything exciting?
MAURY: Hm, well today's show was entitled "I'm In Love With My Sister, But My Brother's Hot Too", and we had about 25 guests in the green room when I got there. I went into make-up and had an almost disaster..Lizette, my makeup artist forgot to buy more of my bronzer, and you know I wasn't filming looking all pale. So I sent her out for that, and I tried to take a little power nap. However, Bill (the producer) came in and told me we should use this time to write some more paternity suit material. Good thing he did too, cause I didn't realize that the "Who's The Daddy" part 57 show was coming up so soon! So yeah we worked on that, then it was time for the show. I should have prepared a little more I guess. I just wasn't on top of my game, and almost let Helva the hermaprodite take a bite straight out of her not so straight sister. Complete havoc. Pour me some more wine will you?
CONNIE: Sure honey.... so just another normal day for you too then?
MAURY: You got it.
