W-O-W Wow I am hot today!!!
previous day's entry April 13, 2003 next day's entry
Nothing like a spoil me Sunday.  Start off with Palm Sunday Mass, then a little hair love, some shopping, Indian food, and a nice beer to end the day.  I got the most amazing top today.  Now, I'm not about the sport shopping thing.  Sara is amazing at it, but I start to freak and cry for her help.  The whole hunt thing is too hard!  But today I spotted this shirt on the floor under a rack, and I was drawn to it.  I knew the moment I touched it it was meant for me.  A little more money than I wanted to spend, but it's just too damn hot.  So now I'm wearing it around the house.  My cute new hairstyle, amazing clothes, and only Kodie to share them with.  Hmm..

Have I ever mentioned Emali's family?  I don't think I have, so I'm going to take this time to tell some stories.  Ok, Emali's background.  Her mom is French and her dad is Thai.  Her mom's name is Danielle and her I don't have a clue how to spell her dad's name so I'll try to make it out phonetically:: Choke-pee-chi.  Yes.  That's two bodily functions and a latte drink.  Ok, for those of you who know my parents, you know how bizarre they are.  Love them, miss them, cherish them, but my dad talks to squirrels.  However, Danielle and Chokepeechi are the only people I know that may be able to rival my folks for eccentricness.  Here are just a couple examples.   These strories are WAY better with the accents, but unfortunately that doesn't translate well.  Buy me a beer sometime and I'll act them out.

Chokepeechi answering the phone.  You never know what's going to happen.  Once I called and this is what I heard:  "You can heat up some meatloaf hello."  One sentance.  Today it was:  "Hello i'm not here".  They dont' have caller ID.  He had no idea who was calling.  Obviously!  I wasn't calling for him!

Danielle's in a very hard place with this whole war thing.  She worried a while back about outlashes toward her because she's French.  The story goes:  "Oh zes see, yesterday I was out for un walk.  And as I vas walking I felt zumthing hit ze back of my head.  And I thought OCH!  How terrible!  Someone is throwing rocks at my head because I am French!  What is happening zat I should be in danger just because I am French!  I didn't know vat to do, so I turned around, and zaw zat it was un pine cone that had fallen off the tree.  Thank Goodness noone was throwing rocks at me!

Emali's family has a dog.  He's a French poodle named Marcelle.  This dog is dumb.   It's previous owners were Greek, so he doesn't understand English, French or Thai, so he pretty much doesn't have a clue.  Nonetheless, Chokepeechi loves him.  He takes dear care of him, and babies him.  Every few hours no matter day or night this old Thai man puts on his black beret and takes Marcelle for a walk.  Yes he wears a beret.  Thats the hilarity of this story.  You gotta meet these people!
