Hoisery Tutorial
First you need to get a doll. The base in this tutorial is from .:Fairy Dollz:..

(Original Base)
Next, draw an outline of the hoisery in the colour of your choice. (I chose red. This makes it easier to show how to do each step.)
Next, use a paintbrush size that's one pixel. Draw a pixel sized dot every four pixels. (Note: Start counting three pixels from the outline, which is red in this instance, and on the fourth pixel, draw the dot.) I used blue in this picture. I just arbitrarily picked a spot to start. It doesn't matter where you start, because it will all look the same at the end.
Now, this is where things start to get difficult. This step is done in green. First, you need to draw a pixel sized dot above and below the row you just did. But the only thing is, the pixels have to be on either side of the pixel in blue. See the diagram below for clarification.
A single part of it with one blue and the green around it would look like this:
This next step is in orange. This step is somewhat difficult, just to give a fair warning. You are going to start counting the four pixels again. But it may get a little confusing. The orange pixels have to end up in between two green pixels, but they have to be three pixels apart. It may look a little scarce, but it will look fine when finished.
After doing those pixels, you're going to do the same thing you did in the step with the green. You're going to draw one pixel on either side of the orange ones you just did. This step is in pink to make it easier for you to see.
You're going to continue repeating the blue and green steps until you're done with the doll. It should look somewhat like this when the whole doll is done.
Your finished doll's hoisery should look something like this:
