Ricky is our Mr.Social Butterfly.We feel this picture shows Ricky�s wonderful temperament and lovely head and expression. Only 1 yr old in this picture , he was an enthusiastic and very tolerant puppy raiser. Ricky is the sweetest Irish we have ever bred or owned & Larry calls him his �character dog�. He greets every dog at the off-leash park, then its back to finding birds. At home he is always leaning against someone or doing the �Irish hug�. Ricky�s show debut was at the ISCBC Specialty where he was RWD at 6 � mos. with his 10 yr old Junior Handler, Courtney. They finished his Can.Ch. with BOW and the judge commenting on how wonderful it was to see a balanced Irishman that had such a powerful and true reach and drive, the same critique given him when BOW at the ISCBC Specialty. When moving, his topline is motionless and his stride effortless. He is just now starting to �grow into himself� and we feel he should finish easily in the States once he matures. He is AKC pointed. Ricky has a classic headpiece and expression, a correct dark coat that is easy to maintain and tight feet, so important in a hunting breed. He has the substance, style and elegance we were hoping for when we bred Missy to Conor and we are also very pleased with his littermates. We hope to work on hunting titles and also think he would be a fun dog to do some Obedience with once I get my act together. He loves to please but is also happy just being a bed hog or sitting on his haunches with his arms around you smiling.
