MEET OUR STAR...IMA LIL OSAGE EAGLE
PHOTOS OF SAGE AT 2 YEARS OLD
Sage came to join our family in January of 2002, and he has an interesting history behind him.  Sage was originally bred by a very nice lady in Oklahoma who happens to be a member of the Osage Indian Nation.  According to their beliefs this is a very special stallion indeed, as he bears the mark of a soaring eagle upon his right shoulder, which you can clearly see in the photos.  We couldn't agree more that he is very special indeed and feel very honored that he has come to join our family here in Ohio.  It was not an easy decision for Tammy to make, but through many many phone calls and emails discussing our plans for him, our breeding program, show plans...ultimately Tammy felt very confident and comfortable that we would do our best and bring many great honors to this young stallion, and we are greatful to her for allowing him to join us.
Sage is a coming 3 year old in 2002.  He is a beautiful loud tri color bay overo paint pony, currently standing approx. 13.2 hands.  He is by a registered paint stallion with some really nice lines whose pedigree traces to such great names as SIR QUINCY DAN, SKIPA STAR, VERSARY BARS, PAINTED ROBIN, JOCITA BARS, GOLDSEEKER, POCO... with names like these in his pedigree it's easy to see he should halter and perform.  He is out of a very nice welsh mare.  Sage currently has 3 registrations pending - PtHA, APPR, and IQPA, and we do have future plans for AWR-SPORT PONY DIVISION.

The first thing about Sage is the fact that he has the most wonderful, calm, quiet, & loving disposition on him.  He literally thinks he should be a pocket pony.  He has excellent and correct conformation with exquisite movement!  He has unbelievable bone to him with just the right amount of refinement too.  And of course he has that sought after gorgeous overo pinto coloring.

We will be starting his undersaddle and harness training this spring, as well as showing him at halter this year.  This young stallion has an amazing presence and look at me attitude about him and we have high hopes for him and no doubt that he will excel at whatever asked of him.  It is pure pleasure to watch him romp in the arena, he naturally does rollbacks, sliding stops, and flying lead changes.   When he trots his action and extension is simply amazing!

He is a proven sire already and I must say I am most impressed with his manners and quietness.  I am a women and am only 5 feet tall, and I handle this stallion with ease!!!!!  I will be standing Sage to a few select quality approved outside mares this season and next.  His introductory fee is $350.00, plus a $150.00 nonrefundable booking fee, by live cover only.  We do plan on AI but not till next year or so.  Mare/foal care is $7.00/day, if you provide your hay and grain we will take $2.00/day off care fees.  We also offer a multiple mare & 4H/FFA discount, and the multiple mare discount can be used to book the same mare two years in a row to qualify (two booking fees must be paid in full at the same time). Contact me for a breeding contract.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, and if you don't get an answer to an email in a couple of days please call me or write -  the info is on the home page.  Also we will be getting sage OLW tested shortly too, and possibly red factor tested.  We currently believe sage carries two of the overo spotting genes - frame and sabino, and there is a chance he may be homozygous for the black gene.
more to come later...
We also stand an 18.2 hand registered belgian stallion with wonderful bloodlines.  Our stallion consistantly throws BIG SOLID COLTS  WITH CORRECT CONFORMATION AND HUGE BONE!  He also likes to put white on his foals.  Please contact us for photos, info., pedigree... if you are interested in breeding to our stallion Rellim Hills Buck.
