In paintball one Important thing you can do is use tactics. Without them everyone is lone wolfing... and not everyone can really do that very well... in fact most people can't.

The point of this tactic is to flank the enemy. Get the smallest, fastest, hardest to hit guy in your group. Once everyone else is well hidden and sighted in, his job is to run out to a nearby group of enemies fire a couple of shots then take off running in the rest of his teams direction. 9 out of 10 times they will follow him, slowly, but they will come... once the get within range preferably surrounded, open fire. You'll take one or two casualties, but they will all be gone :)

This actually isn't one of my own tactics. I stole this from the spanish. (It's actually one of the formations used in the battle of the Alamo) You start off in a line, with your fastest runners on the outside, then they pull ahead and the enemy is faced with either tunring to shoot them or shooting at the slower guys

You should use this tactic when you need to lay siege to an enemy infested building or area. Divide into two groups, your main force and your stealth group. Put all of your newbs in the main force and quite a few more experienced people, then take a group of about seven (depending on the cover, size enemy forces, etc.) of your best players, and possibly yourself and go around the area. Then attack from behind, taking out what the main force of newbs didn't/couldn't take out.

The objective here is to take out a sniper (In paintball a sniper is someone who is higher up than you, not someone who is neccesarily a very accurate shot) in a sniper tower. It's really a simple tactic. While your team covers one person they run up and stand beneath the sniper, then everyone else should try to get the snipe to shoot at them.
when the snipe sticks out their head or gun pop them from below. They can't hit you without exposing themselves.

On this tactic I had trouble choosing between "The Storm" or "Kamikazee", because normally the runner gets shot before he gets the last guy out... This tactic really also only works if you have 1+ more guys than your opponent, or if one guy on your side can get 2 or more guys pinned down. Then the front man (the smallest quickest guy) runs back behind their bunkers on the side (so tha he doesn'thave to worry about getting shot from behind) and open fire on them, or grab their flag. This works well as an end game move.

General Tips
-Flanking is always a good strategy. People never want to watch the rear, and everyone always assumes someone else is watching it. Plus if you have someone in front of  you and behind you, you expose yourself to shoot at the other one.
-Always think before you shoot. Can I sneak past them while staying in cover? Do they out number me? Do I have a snowball's chance in hell of grabbing that flag without taking out that guard first?
-Lower your sound profile. Get a headset for your com, DON'T WEAR ARMY BOOTS, wear paintball shoes or sneakers, try not to wear super loose clothing in the woods, don't wear swishy pants while paintballing (what's that noise that sounds like someone walking up behind me?) Don't dry fire your gun unless you're trying to bluff someone, and just all around think... They might not know where you are.
-Carry only what you need. And unless you are a twibb, you don't need to carry 2000 balls in pods, a spare tank, your lunch, two backup guns, a spare hopper, a barrel box, a toolkit, a bottle of gatorade, 20 grenades, and your gun onto the field for a 15 minute speedball game. That is stupid.
-Paintball is NOT an athletic game. It's about 43% mental, 37% physical, and 20% luck. (That's 100% fun)
