Biography
Barbara Lynn
Barbara Lynn was born and raised in Saskatchewan and relocated to Edson Alberta in 1990. She started a costume rental business "Clowning Around Costumes" which grew and expanded to numerous locations along the Yellowhead Highway. The business diversified into party supplies and Halloween accessories in 1997.

Barbara was a seamstress and created all of the costumes in her store. Although the customers enjoyed the hand crafted items, they expressed a desire to disguise their faces with something more comfortable than a rubber mask. Barbara picked up a paint brush and decided to apply her artistic talents to Face Painting.

With two children and willing costume customers  to practice on, Barbara soon aquired a large following of face painting customers. She was invited to paint at numerous fairs, community events, festivals and parties. Her travels now take her across western Canada as a featured face painter at well established events.

Barbara has painted many grand openings including Wal-Mart and Dairy Queen. She attends Rodeos, Canada Day Celebrations, Agricultural Fairs, Trade Shows, Company Christmas Parties, Community Events, and any special occassion which requires children to be entertained. She can paint full faces on twenty people in less than an hour. She is also very popular during the Halloween Season.

In order to celebrate the Alberta's 100th anniversary, a special showcase of rural Alberta talent and products was featured at the Edmonton Klondike Days Exhibition. Barbara was invited by the organizers of this "Prairiefinds" showcase to participate as a rural Alberta Face Painter.

In 2005, Barbara sold her costume business in order to pursue a full time career in face painting. She enjoys travelling, and entertaining children of all ages. She has noticed even the adults will stand in line, looking forward to the opportunity to have their face painted. "The most rewarding part of my career is watching the joy and excitement in the faces of the children when I hold a mirror in front of their painted face" she states enthusiastically.
All Paints used are professional face paints. The are hypo allergenic,  non toxic and do not cause irritation. The paint is applied to the skin in a freehand drawing fashion. It dries quickly and will remain on the face until it is washed off easily with warm water and soap. .
