The ocean front road in St. Kilda, Melbourne, where W & K were living. A very nice place to be, when the sun shone...!
The riverside development in Melbourne, looking towards the city. You can just about make out the railway station - the red brick bulding on the right hand side. Amazing building...
Quick switch to Sydney. After a few days with W&K in Melbourne I got the train over to Sydney - took about ten hours. The idea being that it was an economical way to see some of the bits in between the two cities. Unfortunately it was a tad dull - although a comfortable and efficient journey.

In Sydney I spent a couple of days at the YHA in Glebe and two more in the backpackers in King's X, and got a lot of walking in. This is the part where my photo's start to look like everyone elses.... I tried to get some photos of the two big landmarks at some vaguely unusual angles, you'll have to judge if I succeeeded or not
From the vantage point at the top of the bridge tower on the city side. There's a museum here that tells the story of how the bridge got built (entry fee is a coupla dollars), and the view of the bridge itself, and the city and the bay is amazing. There's actually a bunch of nutters walking over the bridge on the photo, but I don't think you can make them out here.
Some cruise liner pulling out of the harbour. I tried to make something slightly original, but I don't think it really works. Hey, ho.
